THOMAS SABO MEETS THE MEN OF THE YEAR, 2008

Once again, this year’s GQ event “Men of the Year, 2008” was sponsored by THOMAS SABO. This time, the venue was the Alte Kongresshalle in Munich. 750 invited guests celebrated the thrilled winners on November 13. The men’s magazine presented the coveted awards for outstanding personalities from film, television, music, fashion, design and sports for the 10th time. 15 men received the awards, including actors Joseph Fiennes and Moritz Bleibtreu, football star Oliver Kahn and former Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher.

David Garett, who exclusively wears THOMAS SABO accessories, received the GQ Award in the Music category. Mr. Sabo and his wife Luz-Enith personally congratulated the charming violin player.

Following the awards ceremony, the THOMAS SABO Lounge proved to be a hugely-popular meeting place, where guests and award winners were able to take a peek at the brand-new Spring/Summer 2009 Sterling Silver Collection. Barbara Meier, Peyman Armin, Joseph Fiennes and star violinist David Garrett were blown away by the new items of jewellery.

VIPs and award presenters were thrilled with the bijou gifts provided by THOMAS SABO, which helped ensure that the evening would be a most memorable occasion.
