Airplane enthusiasts had been waiting a long time for this: on April 20, 2007, the long-awaited Airbus A330-200 long-haul jet finally arrived in Düsseldorf in the current LTU design. The arrival was celebrated in grand style – with more than 2,500 LTU employees, special guests from business and politics and countless stars from German showbiz. The evening was hosted by ZDF presenter Johannes B. Kerner.
